Saint Anthony Hospital to host its 6th Annual Summer Fest

CHICAGO – Saint Anthony Hospital will host its annual community Summer Fest Car and Bike Show this Saturday, June 9, 10:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m. This annual event will be filled with entertainment, wellness activities and education for the entire family, including health screenings by Saint Anthony Hospital certified staff, free back to school physicals, safety presentations, and information on our community partner organizations. Saint Anthony Hospital Parish Nurses will offer free blood pressure checks while staff from the Saint Anthony Center for Diabetes will check glucose levels and promote healthy eating habits through cooking demonstrations. There will also be certified staff members from the Family Maternity Center providing educational materials about pregnancy and registering expectant moms for the hospital’s free prenatal classes and tours of the Center. PediaVision will provide free vision screening using its innovative device SPOT and VSP® Vision Care will provide vouchers for free comprehensive eye exam and glasses for children who need them.

The event will also feature of a wide variety of family entertainment options. Children can stop by one of the activity stations for face painting and make their own tie-dye t-shirt. Guests can play carnival games, take a trip down our giant slide or take a ride on a live pony at the horse corral. For automotive buffs, the Members Only Car Club will showcase over 200 custom cars and bikes. Families will also be entertained by acts like New Orleans Blues Artist, Kipori Baby Wolf Woods who will perform music from his recently released album - Blues Gone Wild, “Tumbling for Success”, an acrobatic performance group started by a former Jesse White tumbler, Latin songs from the Irma Ruiz Elementary School Teacher Band Suavecitos, and performances by Complot Dance Group and much more. In addition, event goers will have the chance to meet Bob Love, Adrenaline Rush Dancers, Sky Guy, Tommy Hawk, Outlaw and Skates. All families that pre-register receive a FREE school bag for each child for the upcoming school year.
