Elk Grove Village Public Library offers installment payment option for non-resident cards

November 13, 2015

ELK GROVE VILLAGE Elk Grove Village Public Library announced today that it will offer residents of unincorporated Elk Grove Township the option to pay the $200 library card fee by a 12-month installment plan, effective November 4, 2015.

The librarys trustees approved the policy proposal, which allows for residents of unincorporated Elk Grove Township to make monthly payments of $35 for the first month, and $15 thereafter for the remaining 11 months, at its board meeting on November 3rd.

Because it is broken down in smaller portions, the installment plan can make the yearly fee more manageable for lower income unincorporated residents, allowing them an alternate approach to becoming library cardholders.

Approximately half of the students attending Byrd, Rupley, Salt Creek, and Grove schools live in unincorporated Elk Grove Township and do not have full access to a public library; the approved policy provides an opportunity for students and all family members of their household to have complete access to the librarys services, materials, and programs for one year.

Elk Grove Library strives to provide for the needs of all members of the community, and is deeply committed to enriching the lives of people of all ages. You can reach the librarys resources at:
